In the new timetable during off peak hours, only two of the four per
hour Campbelltown via Granville trains stop at Ashfield (all peak hour
trains stop at Ashfield). These two have been made up for by trains that
run express to ashfield, then all stations to Liverpool via regent's
park. At night time, the regent's park trains run as all stations
trains.
The ashfield express, then all to liverpool via regents park used to
only run during peak hour (also stopping at summer hill), coupled with
an all stations to ashfield then terminate and return to the city. This
practice is now done all day between the two peaks.
One annoying thing about the changes is that there used to be an express
every 15 minutes, now they are spaced at intervals such as 12, 18, 12,
18. Sometimes there are even expresses that depart just three minutes
apart.
Have I confused you yet?
