Re: R&R- "American Influence Down Under"



What, R&R let McDonalds advertise over 16 pages??

Maaybe it should be Australian influences on USA such as the garrat (did
any of those run in the U.S?).

Seriously though I bet its all about end platform cars and baldwin locos
and SAR and lineside structures and other stuff that America copied from
England. Perhaps they should look at their influences. Where did those
4-4-0's come from for instance??

I would also be surprised if much of this influence was pre-world war II.
Only after they helped us defeat Japan did they really take any interest in
us.

Is this tounge in cheek?
