I think this is part of the promotion to boost Overland's patron,
Overland have relatively low ridership compare with the other 2 trains
GSR operates(Ghan and IP). Overland frequently running with less then 5
carriages and a recent rumor that OL will cut back to 3 times weekly.
IP/Ghan will be in black soon but Overland will be in red ink for a
while, so holiday class may not be viable on Overland.

But this deal(Free Overland ticktes) seems like a good idea, except
once you arrives at Adelaide you have to wait 11 hours for IP!!
