Yes - originally, the double deck cars could not operate beyond Mount Victoria
into Lithgow.   It was necessary to lower the rail tracks through the "rats
holes" (the ten tunnels between Newnes Junction and Lithgow).   Don't ask me
when that was, I can't remember, but possibly in the mid 1970s.
