Zig Zag Railway observations - 16/1/2000

Seen at the Zig Zag Railway today:

1) 1072: in steam, Rail Motors also in operation.
2) The rail layout at Clarence has been modified to provide access to the
Dargan's Creek Deviation (abandoned railway formation).
3) Garratt 402: being cosmetically restored & repainted green.

Other locomotive news:
1049: spare engine in the depot.
1047: stored behind the depot
1046: All over the place! Wheels & tanks in the workshop area.  Frames,
boiler & bunker at Top Points.  I was told this locomotive would be next
into the workshop for overhaul.
934: overhaul appears to be coming to a finish
218: In the workshop, but no visible progress.  Tender tank at Top Points.
967: Stored on 'bottom road' (above & behind the depot)
