There was a trivial CityRail story on ABC Sydney radio news Wednesday
morning ... CityRail EFTPOS machines (for credit card periodical ticket
sales) were inoperative. A CityRail spokesman pointed out that this only
affected about 200 sales per day, compared with 900,000 passengers per day.
The problem was due to a new version of software, and nothing at all to do
with Y2K, he added.
I guess my crystal ball was wrong about the turnstiles!
