Ah, something to omit from the resume.

Computers fail so often that it is hard to place blame on ONE cause.
Only a Y2K consultant would blame every problem on Y2K.

2036 is a problem that will be solved by then.  Most Y2K was and is
software related.  Now the rollover is done it is up to businesses to
figure out if 2000 comes after 1999 IN SOFTWARE - and a great deal of
that software is already been real time tested by the entry of future
dates (such as expiration dates, next payment due dates, etc.)

But the rollover is the last major trick of the unknown.  Nearly
everything else has seen real data and real results.  Drink the

I wish you would have typed before the bubbly.  Oh well.  Remember
that it is opinion that keeps IT people employed.  Once management has
the opinion that you are unneeded you will be searching for someone
who has the opinion that you are needed once again.

Probably the only belches last night were from IT people, and not

I was on Y2K watch last night for my company.  Not bad.  But I stayed
sober, and was quite awake when witnessing an accident a 4:30am.
Alert enough that within 10 minutes the police were there and had the
suspect in custody.

Everybody celebrated the arrival of this century in a different way.
My neighbor with a now totaled car wishes someone would have chose
differently.  You may choose to wait another year for your 21st
century, but to me, it is the bi-millennial year.
