It was kind of ironic that the day we scrap our VFT the US launches
theirs amid great expectations. Apparently this is pretty much Amtrak's
last stand as far as proving to Washington it can run itself effectively
while attracting patronage from the airlines and justifying itself in
asking for greater funding. Good luck to them.
