Federal Cabinet is meeting today, and is supposed to make a final decision
on Speedrail. The decision is to be made in the context of the ongoing
debate about a second Sydney airport.
Bruce Baird has come out in support of a new airport outside the Sydney
basin, which would be connected to Sydney by the VHST. This suggests
Wilton (near Picton) as the possible location for the airport.
