In this article in the Border Mail stated that the passenger facilities would
be moved also it was reported in the same paper that the relocated line would
be SG only . in today's paper someone was interviewed and was quoted as saying
the final cost would more likely be around $70 million and this figure would
be much better to spend on the SG line between Wodonga and Melbourne. (I
totally agree) another thing this person said was that figures show Wodonga
was best patronized station on the line and they believe this is associated
with the present location. They also say that the decontamination costs for
the rail land in central Wodonga would offset any savings and provide a
shortfall of some $30 million.
