At least the seats recline in an XPT (they don't on a Sprinter) and you are
not rubbing knees with the person in the next seat (like some seats are on a
Sprinter) and you don't have underfloor engines (like you do on a Sprinter).
Melbourne to Albury was bad enough on a Sprinter, I shudder at the thought
of Melbourne to Mildura (even on a daylight trip), although if there was
some internal refurbishment (reclining/rotating seating) it would not be as
bad.
