While we are on the topic of disused stations, can anyone give me a bit of
info about Clyburn?  I know it was a 'workers only station'.

You are correct, it was for SRA workers only, although people from other
businesses (along Rawson Rd) used the station.

There were trains timetabled to stop at Clyburn, generally around the change
of shift times at the workshops. Members of the public that alighted at
Clyburn (thinking it was Clyde), usually had a long wait for another train.

Trains not timetabled to stop at Clyburn, would usually stop if you waved
them down though.

I assume the name Clyburn is derived from being between Clyde and Auburn.
