I think the DTM/DTD cars are permanantly coupled in a similar fashion to the L sets that run on the South Coast and the 2 car K sets that operate in Newcastle. I am sure they where permanantly coupled because the drivers raised concerns about the kick recieved when the power cars pushes into the driving trailer car when taking off. Cheers abp
