At the risk of repeating myself on this issue..this is why I was proposing for
discussion a little while back the idea of tilt DMU's for the new Intra-state
services...the track can be upgraded on an ongoing basis but we get only one
real chance to get the  right rollingstock that can grow with upgraded tracks.

To buy any thing that is only capable of 160kph ...borders on the negligent
(almost criminal).  Bendigo in an hour could be possible and is a worthy
goal...such speeds would make Ballarat a quick trip to the big smoke.

Take a look at Adtranzs.."Crusaris"..it is perfect for the job..(almost
guarantees we wont get it huh!)
