Chris,
         the 73 class did not have toilets as they were designed as shunting
engines. The 47 class (which LVR have several of) do have toilets in the
short end. Why did the SRA get rid of the 47s, they were probably the most
unreliable locomotives we ever had and they were the odd units in the fleet
being Caterpillar powered.  Ask anyone that ever worked on them and they
will tell you how bad they were.
