I had to concentrate on (1) Stuff I had good photos of and (2) stuff the US
foamers would like to see. Hence a emphasis on "covered wangons".

You'd better write to the magazine's editors, then. Steve Barry has said that
reader feedback has demonstrated a general distain for "foreign" (read non-North
America) subjects in Railfan. It's easy to sell "covered wagons" anywhere, though.
