Aus loco discussion mailing list
Hello
Just on the thread last week about NSUs, someone mentioned adding an NSU to
their roster on the grounds that the SAR might have wanted to test the unit
on light broad gauge lines. That wouldn't have been possible, but I am
wondering whether the SAR ever took the opportunity to test one out on the
narrow gauge ? The unit based at Quorn c.1958-60 was probably not too
stretched, its only work being the weekly barytes run to Hawker, plus a bit
of shunting.
Cheers
Ben
