MICHAELBRAY wrote: Aus loco discussion mailing listSince the Freight Victoria take over, the south east has been a hive of activity. This morning three freight trains passed Murrumbeena within half-an-hour. First up was G543 on the up Lyndhurst cement train with about six wagons at 03.50. A few minutes later A71-H4 passed on the down with about a 30 wagon empty log train. At 04.20 the up loaded paper train passed with A78-T374. The down paper train this afternoon due to pass Murrumbeena at around 15.00 will have P23-A77-X43. I don't normally see the night Maryvale goods, as I am at work at this time, so I can not comment on these trains. It has certainly pick up down here, with train sizes noticeably increased since the V/Line days, added to this, bigger locomotive lash-up are seen on a regular basis. The down paper train over the last month has been a three engine roster.
