Aus loco discussion mailing list
Hi
I was reading a Railpage thread about English Electric locos, and I was
wondering about the mu capability of the various EE designs in Australia,
and that of other English locos here.
For instance, I've always found it intriguing that the QR 2350/2370 designs
couldn't mu with the TGR ZA class, a very similar engine. Similarly the QR
1300 couldn't be run with the TGR Z type.
What about other designs ? Could a WAGR XA or XB mu with the EE F, G or C
classes ? Could their R\RA classes mu with anything else ?
How about the CR Sulzer types ? Could an NT be mu-ed with an EE loco ?
It's interesting that EEs rewired to run on US electrical system by AN and
Tasrail have turned out to be pretty good performers.
Cheers
Ben
