As the postings have stated C508 has lead NR's
62 & 44 on AB6. It is due back tomorrow morning behind an orange NR and a
blue NR (forgot the Numbers) on BA6. With C508 heading north, C505 took a break
from the steel yard shunter to take up shunting the container yard. An NR has
taken over C505 role. Prior to departure, C505 performed a shunt on the road
beside C508.
Modified NR liveried DL50 was parked at the back
of the provisioning centre this afternoon (in perfect sunlight). As at this
afternoon it was rostered as spare, but will more than likely be on WP2
tomorrow. DL44 will head north this afternoon behind three NR's on a steel
train.
Great Northern units 376-377 were stabled at Nth
Melbourne on a sleeper train in push-pull mode (again with sun all over
376).
Flat top 345 and hired Steamrail T395 were
stabled at Dynon around the turntable.
On the way home, Black BL's 29 & 30 were
seen passing through Caulfield with an up Long Island at 16.45.
Quite an enjoyable day, and tomorrow morning
should be as good with the C returning and DL50 heading west. It even seem the
Hick railway want to join in the action, FV will run a the log train up to NSW
tomorrow at about 15.00 (maybe).
