Re: NR named loco's - follow-up

While we are discussing NR loco names, I have a couple of queries about the
names:
NR61 - LaTrobe. As nearly all of the locos are named after locations on the
national rail network, what location is this named after? I assume it isn't the
Latrobe Valley in Victoria, as that isn't on the national rail network.
NR17 - Norma Alicia York. Who was she? (I assume that it is named after a
woman).
