As at 1430 Sat the last wagon of the derailed train was being lifted
back on the rails, G517 is the relief loco placed at the Melbourne end
of the train.
The rear portion of this SCT train was returned back to Melbourne with
Loco`s G517, X45 through Newport at 0530.
G517 returned L/E on the down at approx 0700. through Newport.
Adelaide control comments on the radio approx 1600 to some train that
the line was hoped to be reopened approx 1630, but yet to be advised.
The line line at the grade crossing will be replaced by temp rails for
the short term.

Hope Bayside trains agree to man Newport signal-box on the night shift
on Sat night as this signal box is not rostered to be open on the night
shift on Sat nights.
