RE: Silverton locos at Port Kembla

Aus loco discussion mailing list

Further to this, the locos and RM wagons are now gone so they must be on their way to Parkes or wherever.
DL41+DL50, both in dark grey and orange, are stabled near the NRC offices at Outer Harbour. The only evidence on DL50 of the fatal collision at Robertson last weekend is some scrape marks on the pilot.
Nearby an NRC crew is changing wheelsets on wagons with the aid of a Brambles road crane, they had one end of an ex-BHP RHDF hopper in the air.
Around at the Heggies terminal there is a rake of 11 RQTY wagons, each with 3 shipping containers. Some of the containers have been placed on the ground next to the wagons and are being unloaded with a forklift. They appear to conatin bundles of copper plates.
Regards,
Chris.

48s37 and 442s5 are still in the Ampol siding, the wagons behind them are loaded with site sheds.
The RM wagons have now been moved into Cringila exchange sidings.

Regards,
Chris.
