Gday,
Talking to a Country Link Driver today who is a reliable source of info .He
said that Country Link are buying 3 more XPT trailer cars to be used as Loco
hauled as well as XPT trailers to replace the cars on the Griffith and
Broken Hill services. The PHA power vans that  are  currently used are to be
fitted with the 5 pin type of  415 volt jumpers to make them compatable with
the trailers. There are no plans to use any EL class engines to haul them .

4638 went well today hauling NE71 Special Pass. 5 minutes late out of
Sydenham and 8 minutes early into Newcastle.
