The crash occured at 2140 AEDT at Ararat.  Two people (presumably crews) have been injured, and rescue workers are still attempting to free one injured person.

I have just heard on the news that two freight trains have had a head on collision in the western district of Victoria on the Standard Gauge no further details at this time
