RE: Waiting steel train at Flemington, Sydney

More likely they came from Port Kembla, I saw a trainload of slabs being shunted a couple of days ago at Cringila.

Chris.

Waiting this morning on the freight lines between Flemington Station and
Sydney Markets were about 20 AN wagons and flats containing steel billet.

With the closure of Newcastle blast furnace, I presume these were bound for
the rod & bar mill at Newcastle having come from either the Sydney Mini-mill
or Whyalla.

The wagons were stopped, parked without loco.
