Just got home after a most enjoyable night running the RTM's overnight
tour empty cars from South Dynon Loco depot to North Shore and pick up
passengers, then run to Vite Vite loop and part way back.

Signed on 2030 Monday 01.11.1999, to prep and run 8703.
A few problems before departure saw us leave quite late. The main
problems being
1/ No ASW units provided by ARTC for the locomotives.
2/ No Train to Base radio unit provided.
3/ Lack of fuel for locomotives.

Once these problems were sorted out, and the locos fueled, we departed.
Times enroute were...

8703. Locos 4490+44211.  9 vehicles for 420 tonnes.

Footscray Junction 2231, Tottenham Loop 2237-2250, Tottenham B Box 2254,

puff, North Geelong C BP 0133, Gheringhap Loop 0144-0152, Hesse BP 0203,
Wingeel Loop 0215-0220, Werneth BP 0232, Berrybank Loop 0243-0249, Tooli
BP 0303, Vite Vite Loop arrive 0319.

Reverse...Form 8704.

8704. Locos 44211-4490.  9 vehicles for 420 tonnes.
Depart Vite Vite Loop 0420, Tooli BP 0432, Berrybank Loop 0445-0450,
Werneth BP 0458, Wingeel Loop 0513-0521, Hesse BP 0535, Gheringhap Loop
arrive 0557.
Relieved by Dynon crew. Return to depot per car to sign off.
