I know this isn't to do with trains but I thought I'd better correct this anyway. While this statement is true for Windows 95 and NT4, it is NOT true for Windows 98. Even though the default short date setting is two digit there is a rolling window which by default is set to 1930 - 2029. This means that Win98 will interpret a two digit year as being between 1930 and 2029.
