RE: T's on Westcoaster

Aus loco discussion mailing list

All this discussion brings some fond memories back in January 1980 (I was
only a wee lad then) when Dad and I spent the school hols chasing trains
around Geelong.

One memorable morning saw us at the Breakwater bridge to phot the up morning
pass which was running late with 2 x Ts (a 3rd and 1st series) running
reverse elephant style. There were about 8 cars plus a VLPY van at the rear.
The Ts put on a fine show as they struggled across the bridge and into
Geelong. At Geelong they cut off and headed for the yards to collect a BE or
BW car plus another loco (another T) as there was a very large crowd waiting
to board the train.

Sensational!
