Both T's will stay at Warrnambool, the idea being that should a mainline loco fail, we can drop both T's on any pass and we have 1800 hp or so. A pair of P's ran one Sunday night's 8237 (a long time ago, one of my early trips as a Conny), returning on the next
morning's 8220, and were able to maintain the schedule despite 100km/h running. A pair of T's on 4 or 5 cars and go you up the hills as fast as you go down 'em....right on the 100 all the way :)
Cheers,
Craig.
