Re Aus train numbers - the fifth character is generally not used in
conversation. For superfreighters and general freight trains it is an
initial for the operator. For Premium train (Pass and Trailerail) it is a
repeat of the fourth digit.
Aus train numbers
1st = day of week
2nd = code of origin
3rd = code of destination
4th = identifying number
5th = as described above
Vic train numbers
1st = type of train
2nd = line train runs on
3rd and 4th = train number
