Once the 830's were in the state and the big locos had been air-braked, it
is also arguable that A.N. worked the 'X' class into the ground - they owed
them nothing."
Couldn't agree more, they had no long term use for the X class so they ran
them till they dropped or shook themselves to pieces! They may have only
been small locos but they were designed to certain specifications to do a
certain job which they did admirably.
