Re: Echuca loco scene

Aus loco discussion mailing list
Further to my Sat 18/12 posting, Echuca was a hive of industry this past weekend.
G534 turned up sometime on Sat (not sure if as a light engine) and laid over until last night when it then teamed up with one of the two Melb.-bound X classes previously reported by me as weekend "lay-overs" and worked a grain "extra" south at around 1830 hrs.
9084 (the usual working) followed worked by G513 and the second X class at the usual time of 1900m -2000 hrs.
This morning at 0830 hrs, the yard at Echuca was desolate. The lone RT and the usual container flats being loaded at the Rice Mill was all that was left after the mass cleanout last night. The weekends' third layover X class worked the Moulamein job north-westerly this morning at 0600 hrs dep. The weekly cycle has re-commenced!
Don't worry...I won't give up easily on the SILVER BOGIES issue either. Merry Xmas to all.
