Re: Austrac

Aus loco discussion mailing list

Morning all,

Does anyone know which way the locos on SM7 were facing? They bolted
through Werai at around 9.30pm and we were all so surprised with the lash-up
that we didn't really take note. Some were of the view that they were all
one end leading although my recollection is that 4716, at least, was No.2
end leading. Can anyone help?

Regards,

Mark

P.S. - Through Picton this morning on the down was a cavalcade of passenger
trains journeying back through time. First was the 1980's XPT, then hot on
its heals the 1950's cars on the Griffith Pass, followed by a pair of 1920's
CPH's on a tour.
