Re: [VIC] whats to happento covered wagons??

Aus loco discussion mailing list

I think A81 is under overhaul at Dynon at the moment, I saw it inside Dynon
a few weeks ago with alot of roof panels removed. If it is, we can look
forward to seeing it repainted FV. T390 is in for painting now, so it looks
like they are painting anything. There was a rumour going around that one
loco a week is to be painted, the way they are painting locos it looks like
this rumour has some truth to it. So far X47, X49, X51, X52, G522, G529 &
G543 have been painted with X40, T390 & G540 in for painting now. Added to
this, quite a lot of wagons have also seen repainting. Looks like
photographing FV operations will be restricted to sunny days soon, due to
that horrible green that gives a black loco in overcast weather.
