On Thursday 25.05.00 I was rostered to sign on at 2230, and travel per
Dynon departmental car towards Seymour and meet up with an Echuca driver
running a departmental car to Dynon. After the change over, we continued
to Toolamba where we were to relieve the crew of a late running,
re-routed up Deniliquin goods. After waiting at Toolamba for about an
hour (0100-0200), we were advised by Train Control that the train had
not yet departed Deniliquin (scheduled 2330) and it had lost any path
out Seymour amongst the early morning commuter passes. We were
instructed to drive to Bendigo and relieve the train there.

9084 departed Bendigo at 0508 with Locos G 534-X 50-X 32 (all active)
hauling 46 wagons for 910 meters and 3233 tonnes. The train passed
Golden Square 0514, Castlemaine 0554, Kyenton 0646, Woodend 0657,
Gisborne 07??, Clarkefield 0719, Sunbury 0727, Diggers Rest 0733,
Sydneham 0740, St. Albans 0746-0751, Sunshine 0801, Tottenham B Box
0807, Tottenham Yard arrive 0815 and we were relieved by another Dynon
crew for the train to continue to Appleton Dock.

This movement blocked the 0603 up Bendigo pass at Castlemaine for about
22 minutes, and also delayed several other up Kyenton and Sunbury
commuter trains.
