[Ausloco] "big" cross at Orange

Good, fine, sunny (but chilly) morning to all!

Two trains sighted again last night, but with double the locos of Monday
evening. Driving home at 1920, I noted 8143 / 8168 / 8167 (all A end
first)/ 40 NGPF/Y hoppers waiting near Bloomfield. From later
conversations with control, I found this to be train 9821, 654 metres
long. The controller advised the driver that he had reminded Parramatta
of the 650-metre maximum train length for the Dubbo corridor (how
embarassing when compared to the 1500 and 1800m limits being introduced
on the main interstate links!).

Around 2050, train 8136 rolled into town as 8249 / 8184 / 4879 / 4867
(A/B/B/A - funny how that makes me start humming 70's music! 4867
looked dead attached)/ 34 loaded container flats - mostly 60', but some
40'. Unusually, no fuel tanks. This paused for about five minutes near
East Fork (crew change?), and departed about 2100. I'd guess this train
would have been 550m or so, hence the long wait for 9821 - probably two
hours for the sake of four metres! Two overlength trains, and nowhere
long enough for them to cross between Orange and Dubbo?

Train 9821 finally began rolling around 2107.
