FW: [Ausloco] Orange derailment

Sorry, all: I was in a meeting with a client for much of the afternoon.
Just caught up with this now: local news showed 8149 and a couple of
container flats ex Manildra "in the dirt" at Orange East Fork, just to
the south of the triangle. They had dropped to the right (West) side of
the line, but were all upright. there was also a shot of 8035 (drool,
Ivar!) assisting rerailing / removal of loading (from the Parkes end?).
Just about to go home now, so will see what remains and report in the
morning.

Peter

I heard the report on the 1.00 p.m. ABC news that two wagons of a
freight
train had derailed east of Orange. Early reports suggest that the train
went
through a red light and was derailed. The loco (worth $1.8m) was badly
damaged underneath. After the TV news tonight we all will know more
about
it. My guess is Peter in Orange is either too busy or has not heard
about it
himself yet.
