I am told by a friend who works for CRT that one of the 73s is at
Yennora and operable whilst the other remains at Delec awaiting
attention by Freightcorp. Apparently the deal was that Freightcorp
provide them with 2 working 73s but in typical FC fashion they pinched
parts of one to make the other operable and are now (5 months later)
still trying to put the 2nd unit back together. One of the X200s is
operable and acts as a standby to the 73 however there is now a request
from the Victorian CRT operation to have both the 73s sent down there as
they have some idea of running their own trains to the docks. If this
were to happen the second X200 would be rebuilt for Yennora. It is also
possible that CRT may acquire other locomotives in the future.
