its not off topic, (look at what the Toll carries, look where all the
wheat goes... we are all about the economic health of Australia)

shiny rails = healthy economy = lower deficit = balance of trade =
budget surplus = less tax = more industry = a good future for your kids

I can see this getting off topic pretty quickly (and I know I'm
contributing
to that), but there seems little point in blaming local business if
they
didn't pressure for the reopening in the first place.  Conversely, have
any
of the freight carriers touted for business along the route ? Or was
the
reopening purely for political reasons ?
