While we were at Botany this week (between 22:00 and 03:30) I noted that LVR
had some Austrac flats and RSA leased flats.
Rolling stock leasing is totally different to two operators combing their
trains / locos under normal operating conditions.
4486 put on quite a display last night with the 2 47's. The 44 made enough
smoke to keep any steam fan happy!!
The Silverton / National Rail lash up was actually on 7th March when 442s5
working 3s24 attached NR38 at Leightonfield. The NR was dead and was to be
hauled to the NR Centre at Chullora. The movement ran via Botany to attach
other loading for the same destination.
