Now this is news, I was unaware that these 8 locomotives had been
disposed of by RSA without going through the usual disposal process!
There were 4x44 class, 3x45 class and one 35 class withheld from sale in
1994 for "the heritage fleet" and these seem to have now been quietly
disposed of without so much as an expression of interest.
Has anybody got further details - this is an important matter for the
preservation movement in New South Wales.
