For Martin and for the benefit of  those interstate (and even in the UK!) ,
following is a summary of mainline heritage operations out of Sydney-

The RTM have already held their annual "Steamfest" on the first weekend of
March this year.  At present, the Museum does not have any accredited main
line steam locos - 2705 runs the Loop Line shuttle services on weekends.
The Museum's heritage diesel fleet of 4201, 4306, 4490, 4520, and 44211 are
utilised for main line tours and charters.

3801 Ltd run regular trips out of Sydney during the year with 3801, 3830
and /or Alco 4401, as well as the Cockatoo Run from Port Kembla to
Robertson, and the weekly diesel hauled "Long Lunch Train".

The Maitland Steam Festival this year is on Sat 8/ Sunday 9 April.  3801 +
3830 will be going from Sydney to Maitland and return on the Sunday -
