Thurs.16.3 Dimboola, Vic
Further to my posting earlier today, the locos in question,
G537-X45-T399 were taken off the train to Adelaide and were
used on train number 9784 Up loaded grain from Dimboola to Portland.
They departed at about 16 30 with a rake of loaded grain wagons, and
collected some more at Wail, the first grain silo south of Dimboola,
before continuing south. On this train they were marchalled as
G520-X45-T399, with the T and X both long end leading.
G537 ran the 9792 Up Dimboola to Dynon goods, departing at
Dimboola about 16:00 light engine, to collect loaded container wagons at
Horsham. G520 (probably) ran a grain train towards the SA
border this morning as it was not present in the yard this morning.
As of about 19:30 the rake of TOLL/TNT container wagons were still sitting
in number 3 road. G540 and G538 were
still shut down in the yard and will probably run this train late this
evening.
Runour - can anyone confirm or deny a rumour that two EL's
were to run this train in place of X45 and T399 today ?
