Public holiday in WA today. En route back from
attending to ARHS business at Midland workshops noted regular IP loco NR39 (
Gladstone) on the eastbound IP.
This was followed hot on its heels by Q312 on a
Merredin bound ety wheat. Then at West Midland we noted NR 119,110,37 & AN1
heading east l e, the purpose of which is unknown to me.
Did these locos work a train over from Adelaide and
were heading back l e a/c no loading? or were they being 'turned' on the
Woodbridge triangle to avoid having to lead with the AN out of Kewdale?
Perhaps someone out there will know the
answer.
