[Ausloco] Fw: Y112 & T413

G'day all,

West Coast's 0-6-0 `choo-choo', Y112 & "dynamics-equipped" T413 + car set (various) + GY open wagons + WAL (ex Westrail/WAGR commissioners car) et al, remain at peace in Echuca currently. No sign of their return to Ballarat after their "mini-season" of workings ex Echuca during June.

Bulk rice workings ex Tocumwal to Echuca via Toolamba have continued almost daily (Mon - Sat) over the last three weeks. Usually an X class + up to 20 hoppers. Not sure for how long they will continue... originally mooted for two to three weeks! The return arrival at Echuca is around 1000 - 1030 hrs, in fact, I can hear the X class arriving now as I type this!! There were no bulk rice hoppers located at any of the silos on the Moulamein line between Echuca and Wakool last Sunday. A sure sign that the Echuca Rice mill is receiving ex "elsewhere" (i.e. - Tocumwal).

Refitting of the new slate roof to the historic three-road Echuca loco shed appears complete and is looking wonderful. Minor roofing/guttering work still to be completed, it appears. Now all it needs is some locos to complete the scene. Where are you ARHS Vic div.? Much drier air here than Newport and lots of "rubber necks" to look at them too!

See Ya AH
