G'day all,

Very interesting mods. indeed... I presume that this posting refers to an
"engine" being present at Dynon rather than a "Loco"!

But wasn't the SD50 one of the least successful EMD's produced? I thought
that the five that Hamersley built in Adelaide were unloved in the Pilbara
and saw relatively short service life! Maybe it wasn't down to the engine
though!

Apparently
this is the least of their problems, but will probably eventually see the
light of day.
I heard the other day from an excellent source at RTS that the large sump
will cause the roof line to be altered but future installations will have a
reduced sump. He suggested that it was all a bit much for a mere 200hp
extra.
