RE: [Ausloco] Re: Sightings
I am afraid this is a classic example of part of the ructions affecting
Ausloco. Some of us do not have access to the latest timetabled information
or know what is "mundane" when we make particular sightings, especially in
our non-home State. Indeed, as has already been expressed on Ausloco, what
is mundane for some is of interest to others.
Perhaps the reason why sightings of locomotives posted on Ausloco have
diminished recently is because people are petrified to post anything!
Alternatively, perhaps they've just moved to another forum where sightings
information, irrespective of any value judgements, are listed as seen.
I think this particular issue is a real problem for the list,
notwithstanding the guidelines as they currently appear. (So sod off, I hear
you say!!)
Regards,
Brad

<Shrinks into corner>
;-)
I was once told that simple recording of the apparently mundane is
the best basis for historical research later. After all, what will
we look up in 30 years if no-one takes any notice now?
Forgive me, though. I'm native to SA, and its a novelty to see a
train in the daytime!
Cheers...
