RE: [Ausloco] BAIRNSDALE FREIGHT TRAIN

          Freight trains are now running every week day to Fenning's Timber Mill near Bosworth Road in
          Bairnsdale. The trains normally carry 20-30 log wagons.

          The locos normally used on the service are an X class and 1 or 2 T classes. There is normally
          the X class on one end and the 2 T's on the other end. The logs are being loaded on to the
          train directly on the main because there is no loop or siding. The trailing locos are transferred
          on to the front of the train at Hillside siding when leaving.

          The locos classes used are normally X42, X43, T400, T402, T379 and T396.

          The trains first started running daily from 27/6/2000.

          For the first 9 days of running the trains arrived between 10 and 11:30am and departed
          between 3 and 4pm. They were crewed the entire time they were stopped outside the timber
          mill to be loaded. But yesterday (10/7) the train diddn't leave until 9:30pm and had no crew
          on board while logs were being loaded. Today's train arrived at 6:18am I don't know whether
          it has left yet.
