Good Morning
Train No 8136 left Dubbo last night on time
at 18:00 with 8241 leading 4854 and 48150. On arrival at Lithgow
(00:10) 8241 detached and placed on to 1879 empty mill wheat to Parkes (00:50
departure). Two 86 classes and a 48 class attached to 4854 and 48150 and left
Lithgow with train No 8136 at 01:10.
Crossed 1871 Empty Manildra containers at
Wallerawang (23:50) with 8035 leading 8118. A very unusual occurance considering
the 81 class has better cab amenities.
After a breif period the big alcos might
have another resurgance on the West. Before Christmas quite a few were seen out
this way.
It's a pity we dont get those EL's out this
way. I am quite envious of you guys having a field day with those things. Price
you pay for living out in the bush I guess.
Does anyone know of the days of
operation/timetables for the Freight Victoria log trains out of Wallerawang. I
would like to get down there and do some photography.
